Le Bureau Olympics 2016: sign up for the first ever shared work space Games

Olympic fever has hit our shared work space. Wandsworth may seem a million miles away from Rio – and sure, we lack the climate, the party spirit, the beaches, the culture…

…but we do have a common. And give co-workers a common (plus some beanbags and plenty of beer) and you have yourself an Olympic Games.

That’s right: Le Bureau, Wandsworth’s finest shared work space, is hosting its very own games, taking place on Clapham Common on Thursday 11th August. Registration has already opened to become a volunteer and there is still time if you have always dreamt of being a Le Bureau Gamesmaker.

As for the Games itself, think ‘It’s a Knockout’ meets school sports day meets annual team building if it was actually fun and you liked your colleagues.

Whatever your speciality, there is an event to suit your skill set. Good balance? Enter the egg and spoon race (with real eggs). Well-coordinated? The three-legged sprint is for you (and someone else, obviously). Alongside the traditional Olympian disciplines (throwing, running, dancing horses) there will also be a very special Beer Pong event, because whoever heard of a an Olympic Games without Beer Pong?

If you’re still not sure what you’re made for, take this 60 second quiz and find out…

Registering to take part in the Le Bureau Olympic Games couldn’t be easier. Look out for entry forms that will be shared round the work space on 28th July. Write your name down, write your colleagues’ names down and force them to join in too.

Do you work freelance? Independently?  Worried that no one will pick you for their team? Do not fret. This is why being in a shared work space like Le Bureau is brilliant: there are lots of other people just like you and everyone will be put into a team of brilliant, like-minded, talented individuals. You might not win but you will meet new people and have loads of fun along the way. And you might get drunk.

What are you waiting for?
