Shout out for BATTERSEA PARK BUSINESSES
Battersea Park Businesses (BPB) is a newly formed not-for-profit body that represents local businesses in the areas surrounding the Battersea Power Station Development, including Battersea Park and Queenstown Road. Operating since March 2017 and with support from Battersea Power Station, the group has recently become a registered organisation, set up to promote and improve the area for local businesses as well as creating a business ‘ecosystem’, where organisations can help and support each other.
If you haven’t heard of them, take a look and see who they are and what they do at https://www.batterseaparkbusinesses.com, or ask long time Le Bureau Member and suave panama hat wearer Simon Woodward. When not running his own events and placemaking provider Polar Bear Live, he is a Director of BPB. Or contact Hajir at firstname.lastname@example.org. Le Bureau has been a Member of BPB for about a year now.
If you are already a member of BPB, maybe you’ll attend the AGM on Thursday 27th June from 5:30pm at Battersea Power Station in the RocknRolla board room. The AGM will be followed by a tour of Circus West Village and networking drinks at No.29 Power Station West.
The formal invitation to the AGM from the Chair, Karen Rievley is below:
RE: Battersea Park Business’s first Annual General Meeting,
Thursday 27th June 2019, 5:30pm, Battersea Power Station main boardroom
You are warmly invited to attend Battersea Park Business’s first AGM. This will be an opportunity to reflect on achievements and input to plans for the future. It will be accompanied by a presentation about the Battersea Power Station development and tour of Circus West Village and viewing platform. After the tour, we will retire for drinks at No.29 Power Station West.
To be able to vote at the AGM businesses will need to have paid their membership fee and to have completed a form for becoming a Member of the company. In effect, we treat all businesses that have paid their membership fee as members, but formal recognition allows you to vote at the AGM and be nominated to become a director of Battersea Park Businesses.
The AGM provides an opportunity to ask the board any questions you may have about the organisation, to hear more about our activities and to network with other members.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you on 27th June 2019.Back to Blog
