Book now for Wandsworth Enterprise Week

Whether you are an established SME, a novice start-up or a budding entrepreneur, Wandsworth Enterprise Week is an unparalleled resource for small businesses across the borough.

Running from 6-11 March 2017, Wandsworth Enterprise Week is one of south London’s biggest annual business events. Small businesses can access 1-1 advice, take part in interactive workshops, listen to expert panel discussions and network, all for the princely sum of absolutely zero.

The entire week is free, though sessions must be reserved in advance – and with some already full, now is the time to book.

“It’s about providing support, advice and inspirtaiton to local businesses that are already established, as well as anyone who is considering a business but doesn’t know where to start,” says Jenni Asiama, Business  Communications Manager and Economic Development Office at Wandsworth Council.

This year, Wandsworth Enterprise Week is partnered with Virgin StartUp to provide expert insight across a range of areas.

The programme includes:

  • Workshops delivered by VirginStartUp
  • 20 minute, 1-1 advisory sessions with an advisor of your choice
  • Finance guidance
  • Crowdfunding information, focused on whether it’s right for your business and how to run a successful campaign
  • 18-30 sessions delivered by the Prince’s Trust
  • Advice and information from Natwest
  • Workshops delivered by the Design Trust aimed specifically at creative businesses

On Thursday 9th, the blue ribbon event sees entrepreneurs including Green & Black’s co-founder Jo Fairley sharing their experiences and tips for gaining – and maintaining – success.

A panel discussion led by three influential Wandsworth businesswomen takes place on Wednesday to mark International Women’s Day.

“Wandsworth has a real history as an entrepreneurial borough,” says  Asiama. “There’s a huge buzz around Nine Elms in particular at the moment. A lot of organisations want to come into the borough and people want to start up their own enterprise.

Wandsworth Enterprise Week is an opportunity to get together with like-minded people and gather a huge amount of information for free.

Running your own business can be a lonely place; engaging with others in a similar position, or those that have been there before, is incredibly motivating.”
