The Le Bureau co working space is hosting its very first Speed Networking Luau.
Join your fellow members for cocktails, music and the chance to see how you could work together.
From 5:30pm on Thursday 20th October, the Members’ Lounge will be transformed into a spectacular tiki bar, complete with limbo, decorations and a selection of themed cocktails.
The evening will begin with a speed networking session during which you will have one minute go get to know your neighbour before the claxon sounds and it’s time to move on. There will be plenty of time to enjoy a drink and chat more once the formal part of the evening is over,
Being in a co working space offers an unparalleled opportunity to build connections with other brands and businesses. Le Bureau is a small, sociable office where networking is actively encouraged.
Many members have already benefitted from working with each other.
Luau co-host Michelle Noel is a graphic designer and founder of Studio Noel. She who has worked with several companies in Le Bureau since arriving in May 2015.
Has it been easy to collaborate with other members, Michelle?
Yes, really easy. Often I’ll just get chatting to someone over a coffee in the kitchen and it will turn out they need some help with their business, or vice versa. Most people I now work with started out as friends.
People pop over, or grab me at lunch time and we’ll have a quick chat. Being in the same building means it’s really relaxed.
What type of projects have you taken on?
A lot of the companies here are start-ups so I’ve done a lot of branding projects, like logos, business cards and websites to help them get started. For some of the more established businesses I do things like brochures and catalogues.
What benefits have you seen to your own business?
I’ve been lucky enough to work on some really nice projects and see businesses grow, which has been really satisfying. I’ve also got some nice pieces for my own portfolio, I’ve grown my contacts and had lots of people recommended me which has generated more work.
